The Listening Room

The Living Room at 35 East is an intimate, boutique-style listening room in a comfortable setting with couches and chairs. We were presented the coveted Best of Philly award for Best Small Music Venue – 2019 from Philadelphia magazine and the Best Live Music Venue award from Ardmore Award Program for 2019. We offer live entertainment in a variety of genres on most Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings and occasionally other days and times. Most of our shows are ticketed events – please see our schedule for details. We offer BYOB and serve some of the best homemade desserts around! See our full menu below

New Scheduling/Q&A Sessions

We are launching a new feature – Q&A Sessions with the artists prior to some concerts. Instead of just listening to your favorite artists up close and personal, we will also offer the opportunity for you to ask them the questions you’ve always wanted to ask. Stay tuned for more details about this.

Because of our limited capacity we highly recommend advance ticket purchase. We will sell tickets at the door, if available, until we reach capacity. There will be a $5.00 per ticket surcharge for all tickets purchased at the door.

Regrettably, due to space limitations, we are no longer able to accommodate customers in wheelchairs. We will do our best to assist those with special needs. Please contact The Living Room in advance at thelivingroomat35east@gmail.com or 610-896-3645 for any questions and to request assistance.

Unless otherwise noted, ages 13 and under are not permitted; ages 14 to 17 are permitted with a parent or guardian.

The Living Room is a listening room. We ask that as a courtesy to the artists and other audience members that you refrain from conversation or other noise during the performances. Remember to silence your cell phones and devices. Limited movement during the performances is requested.

The Living Room is eco-friendly. We do our best to reduce waste by providing reusable hand towels instead of using paper towels, utilizing reusable water bottles and minimizing other waste. We also do not provide straws and we suggest that you bring your own reusable straws, if necessary. We encourage our customers to help us in our mission for sustainability by separating any recyclables from your garbage. Thank you for your effort. Together we can make a difference.

Food/Beverage Service

We offer a seasonal menu with a selection of beverages, pizza, snacks, and desserts for sale. We also offer daily specials. Outside food and nonalcoholic beverages are not permitted. We also offer complimentary BYOB. We will open your bottles and provide glassware. We will also provide ice, if requested.
